Boomer

Boomer is a certified hearing dog. A precious gift given to me in the fall of 2009. He was trained to notify me when the doorbell rang, oven timer chimed, the fire alarm beeped and when specific people called my name. We went everywhere together. He was my best friend. In March of 2011, I learned that I am severely allergic to dogs. I had to return Boomer to the foundation to help another person. I was blessed with a short, yet precious season with Boomer. I painted this piece a month before a learned I was allergic. This painting, like Boomer, is a rare gem.
